Nicorette cools 2mg lozenge is used to relieve/and or prevent withdrawal symptoms and reduce the cravings you get when you try to stop smoking or when cutting down the number of cigarettes you smoke. It provides a safer alternative to smoking for both the individual and those around them. Ideally you should aim to stop smoking completely before using Nicorette Cools.
However, Nicorette cools 2mg lozenge can be used in a number of ways, either to completely replace all your cigarettes, or if you do not feel ready to stop smoking completely, to replace certain cigarettes and therefore help you cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke. Directions for use
- Place the lozenge in your mouth and allow it to slowly dissolve.

2mg lozenge is suitable for smokers with low nicotine dependency e.g. those smoking their first cigarette of the day more than 30 minutes after waking up or those who smoke fewer than 20 cigarettes per day. 4mg Lozenges are suitable for smokers with high nicotine dependency e.g. those smoking their first cigarette of the day 30 minutes after waking up or those who smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day. Should not be used for more than 9 months. One lozenge should be placed in the mouth and allowed to dissolve. Periodically, the lozenge should be moved from one side of the mouth to the other, and repeated, until the lozenge is completely dissolved. The lozenge should not be chewed or swallowed whole. Sufficient lozenges should be used each day and most smokers usually require 8 to 12, not to exceed 15 lozenges. The duration of treatment is individual, but up to six weeks treatment is recommended to break the habit of smoking. The nicotine dose should then be gradually reduced, by decreasing the total number of lozenges used per day. The treatment should be stopped, when the daily consumption is down to 1-2 lozenges.
